Founder & CEO

Oscar Dennis Sr. — Founder & CEO

Oscar Dennis Sr. is the founder and CEO of Tekache Holdings Inc., a First Nations-owned enterprise built from Iskut, British Columbia, and designed to operate across geographic boundaries. His work brings together decades of experience in traditional knowledge, anthropology, research, technology, business, media and international collaboration.

His approach is grounded in a First Nations theoretical perspective and a simple principle: build something, observe how the environment responds, learn from that response, and adapt. Tekache Holdings grew through this process—from ideas into intellectual property, physical products, digital platforms and new educational and commercial ventures.

The Experience Behind Tekache

Knowledge Built Across a Lifetime

Oscar’s work draws from more than four decades of lived experience, traditional knowledge, university education, research and work across different cultures and environments. His background includes anthropology, First Nations studies, psychology, language and land-based knowledge, music, theatre, film and documentary work, business, technology, international collaboration and artificial intelligence. His work has also included National Geographic, where he was featured in the March 2004 issue, as well as documentary film and other national and international media.

It’s me. I am the theoretical perspective. Whatever comes out of my mouth is shaped by where I come

A First Nations Theoretical Perspective

Theory Developed Through Action

Oscar’s work is grounded in First Nations theory and a First Nations theoretical perspective. Theory here has its academic meaning: an organized body of concepts and knowledge used to interpret and explain the world. His methodology is also informed by symbolic interactionism, a theoretical tradition that examines how meaning is created and changed through social interaction. After learning symbolic interactionism academically, it became an important methodological and theoretical tool within his own First Nations theoretical work.

The approach does not separate theory from practice. An idea is put into the world, the environment responds, that response produces information, and the information changes what happens next.

Build → Observe → Interpret → Adapt → Build Again

This approach now operates throughout Tekache Holdings. Business, technology, artificial intelligence, research, media and traditional knowledge can exist within the same working system. AI provides additional capability, but interpretation remains human. The perspective determines what information matters, how it is understood and what action follows.

The result is a way of developing knowledge through actual activity. Theory is not simply applied to the work afterward. The work itself produces the information from which the theory continues to develop..

How Tekache Was Built

Theory Put Into Practice

Tekache Holdings was not developed from a conventional business plan and then put into operation. It developed through action. Ideas were built, placed into real environments, observed, interpreted and adapted. Each response revealed the next problem, opportunity, connection or direction.

The Indian Relay Racing action figure provides a physical example of that process. An idea moved from concept to intellectual property, 3D modelling, specialized international collaboration, manufacturing, packaging, importation, digital media, marketing and distribution. Each stage connected Tekache to new people, technologies, institutions, markets and systems.

Artificial intelligence became another capability within that process. It accelerated research, analysis, visualization, communication and development, while human interpretation continued to determine direction.

From that activity came more than a product. Tekache developed intellectual property, digital platforms, media, research methods, Indigenous Initiation and new commercial ventures. Each became another part of an expanding system.

Tekache is the machine. The products, platforms and ventures are what the machine produces.
